1. Voluntary Nature of Donations
Donations made to Inspire Welfare Society are completely voluntary. By donating, you acknowledge that the funds you provide are intended to support the various charitable programs and initiatives that align with the mission of Inspire Welfare Society, which focuses on the welfare of women and children. These funds are used to support programs related to education, healthcare, empowerment, nutrition, and community development. Once a donation is made, it will be directed towards the causes outlined in our mission statement, and we reserve the right to allocate funds based on the evolving needs of our organization.
We understand that donors make their contributions with the intent to support our cause, and we are committed to ensuring that the funds are used transparently and responsibly. However, we recognize that there may be situations where a refund may be necessary, and we are dedicated to handling such requests with the utmost care and attention.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
We generally do not offer refunds for donations, as all contributions are used to fund our programs and initiatives. However, in exceptional cases, refunds may be considered. These exceptional circumstances include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
Duplicate Donations: In cases where a donor accidentally makes multiple donations of the same amount or transaction, a refund may be issued for the additional donation(s).
-
Error in Transaction: If there is a technical error that results in an incorrect amount being charged to the donor’s account, a refund may be considered.
-
Fraudulent Transactions: If a donation was made without the consent of the cardholder or account holder, or if the transaction was identified as fraudulent, we may consider issuing a refund.
It is important to note that we will not process refunds simply because a donor has changed their mind or disagrees with how the funds were allocated after the donation was made. All donations are treated as contributions to our cause and are final once processed.
3. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund, donors must submit a formal refund request within 7 days from the date the donation was made. After this period, we will not be able to consider a refund request, except in exceptional circumstances or as required by law. To ensure that the refund request is processed smoothly, the following information must be included in the request:
-
The full name of the donor.
-
The date and amount of the donation.
-
The transaction reference number or payment ID (which can be found in the transaction confirmation email or receipt).
-
A detailed explanation of the reason for the refund request, including any relevant information or evidence (such as duplicate transactions or errors in the payment process).
Refund requests should be sent to refund@inspirengo.com with the subject line “Refund Request – [Your Name]”. We recommend that donors include any supporting documentation or evidence to help expedite the review process.
4. Processing Refunds
Once we receive a refund request, our team will review the request to verify the details and determine if it meets the eligibility criteria. If the request is approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method used for the donation. The process of issuing the refund may take up to 7 to 14 working days, depending on the payment method used and the processing time of the donor's bank or payment provider.
We will notify the donor by email once the refund has been successfully processed. If the request is not approved, the donor will be informed of the decision along with an explanation.
5. Tax Receipts and 80G Considerations
In the event that a refund is issued, the tax receipt or 80G certificate previously issued for the donation will be invalidated. If a donor has already claimed a tax exemption based on the donation, they may not be eligible to receive a refund under applicable income tax laws in India.
Please be aware that our ability to issue a refund for tax-exempt donations is subject to the Indian Income Tax Act and may involve complications regarding the donor’s ability to claim the exemption once a refund is processed. If you have questions about the impact of a refund on your tax filings, we recommend consulting a tax professional.
6. Donations Through Third-Party Platforms
If the donation was made through a third-party fundraising platform, such as GiveIndia, Ketto, or another similar platform, the refund policy of the platform through which the donation was made will apply. In such cases, we recommend contacting the platform directly to initiate a refund request. While we can assist with any queries regarding donations made via these platforms, the platform will handle the actual refund process according to their terms and conditions.
7. Non-Refundable Donations
Please note that donations made to specific projects, events, or campaigns that are fully funded and already in progress may be non-refundable once the funds are allocated. This is because these donations are used to support specific activities that may have already commenced. As such, we encourage donors to carefully review the purpose of the donation before contributing.
8. Discretionary Decisions
While this Refund Policy outlines the standard procedures for processing refunds, Inspire Welfare Society reserves the right to make discretionary decisions in exceptional cases. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we may choose to make exceptions when we believe it is necessary to do so in order to uphold our commitment to fairness and transparency.
